Jack White Is Crashing Coachella 2026 With a Surprise Saturday Set

Jack White is heading to the desert. The rock mainstay has been tapped as a surprise last-minute addition to Coachella 2026's Weekend 1 lineup, slotted for a 45-minute set on the Mojave stage at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11.
The timing is everything here. Set times for the festival dropped on the night of April 6, and by the next morning, White's name had materialized on the bill — fitting neatly into a Saturday afternoon Mojave slot that has become one of Coachella's most storied traditions. Past surprise bookings in that window have included Weezer, blink-182, and Arcade Fire, so White joins genuinely iconic company.
As Consequence of Sound confirmed, "Jack White has been added as a last-minute addition to Coachella 2026's Weekend 1 lineup on Saturday afternoon."
“What's undeniable is what his presence does for the Coachella 2026 bill.”
The addition makes a lot of sense when you zoom out. White has been everywhere lately. He turned up on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert not long ago, talking about growing up in Detroit and promoting his new book, Jack White Complete Lyrics and Selected Writing Vol. 1. Between the press run and the festival grab, it feels like the start of a broader push — though what exactly that push is building toward remains to be seen.
What's undeniable is what his presence does for the Coachella 2026 bill. This year's lineup leans heavily into pop and electronic territory, with headliners Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, and Karol G sitting at the top. Acts like The xx, FKA Twigs, and Turnstile fill out the undercard alongside heavy hitters like The Strokes, Nine Inch Nails, and Iggy Pop. White's raw, guitar-forward sound slots in as a counterweight — a midday jolt of distortion before the synths take over at sundown.
Coachella 2026 runs April 10–12 and April 17–19 in Indio, California. There's no word yet on whether White will appear during Weekend 2 as well, which is worth keeping an eye on. And given the book, the TV spots, and now a festival set, it wouldn't be a shock if new music announcements aren't far behind.
